Undergraduate Research Symposium
The 11th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium (URS) will be held on April 12, 2008 in the Kansas Union. The URS is an excellent opportunity for students to bring their work to view, to practice presenting in a public forum, to obtain feedback, and to synthesize their results for their mentors and peers. Students may make either a poster or an oral presentation. After the presentations, students and their mentors are invited to a banquet.
Enroll on-line for the 2008 symposium now.
If you have any questions regarding the URS, e-mail Dr. Mark Nesbitt-Daly at mdaly@ku.edu or Dr. Chris Haufler at vulgare@ku.edu.
Last year's keynote speaker was Dr. Barbara Schowen, Professor emerita of Chemistry and former Director of the University Honors Program. The full program from the 2007 symposium is available to download here. To view a photo collection from previous symposiums, visit the University Honors Program URS web site.
The Undergraduate Research Symposium is sponsored by the University Honors Program, The Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Graduate Studies, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
