Fixed-Price Projects Policy
As the Principal Investigator/Project Director, you are responsible for assuring that all costs supporting your project are appropriately charged. Most proposal budgets will not forecast actual costs exactly, but they should be reasonable estimates and the projects should be managed with the budget in mind.
Your oversight of fixed-price projects will assist the University and KUCR in avoiding audit questions regarding revenues in excess of expenditures or unrelated business income tax (UBIT). It is important that we all work cooperatively to maintain our educational and research missions.
