Updates on the Lawrence campus from the Vice Provost for Research — January 2007

FY 2008 General Research Fund (GRF) Competition Deadlines Set

The General Research Fund (GRF) is a competitive award program that provides funding for the advancement of the university's research programs. The Office of the Vice Provost for Research provides funds to each school or college and assists in the administration of these funds. Contact and submission information for the FY 2008 award cycle is available on the funding opportunites Web site.

Each faculty member on the Lawrence campus is eligible to submit one GRF proposal to his or her school or college as the principal investigator. Awards are made based on the scholarly excellence of the proposal and its benefit to the university and to the individual researcher. Funds are awarded for a one-year period and may be used for summer salary, student or GRA salary, supplies and travel.
