Costa Rican Administrator Visits KU

This semester, the Office of the Vice Provost for Research is co-hosting an eight-week fellowship at KU by a research administrator from the University of Costa Rica.  Cristina Alvarado is director of research support within the Office of the Vice Rector of Research at UCR.  She will be on campus through early March.  At KU, she will spend much of her time working in the Applied English Center, improving her command of English.  The rest of her time will be spent meeting with and shadowing research administration staff to develop a better understanding of how a major U.S. university conducts its day-to-day research business.  The goal is to strengthen UCR’s overall operations through a series of such visits over time.
