Sponsored tuition lists for summer 2007 due April 20
Planning to support the summer tuition of a student with sponsored project funds? The deadline for submission of tuition lists to sponsored program administration is Friday, April 20.

Instructions for submitting a tuition list include:

  1. Complete the Sponsorship Authorization form (available from the Bursar's Office). Use the continuation pages if needed. A separate form must be completed for each award. Indicate the project number on each form.
  2. E-mail the completed form(s) to your Post Award Services contact.
  3. If the student to be sponsored is a graduate research assistant who is subject to out-of-state tuition rates, complete a Staff Special Rates Application form and submit it to the Registrar's Office. This form should be filed every semester so the student will be eligible to receive in-state tuition rates.

Important changes to remember:

    • The sponsorship form was updated to reflect the privacy policy regarding a student's Social Security number.  Please use the KU ID number (not employee ID number). If this number is not available, list only the last four digits of the student’s SSN.

All tuition lists must be submitted on the Bursar's Office forms.

Questions? Please contact Susan Archer, manager, sponsored program administration, 864-7463 or sarcher@ku.edu.

Important changes to J-1 regulations
The maximum program length for J-1 (non-student) visa categories has been extended from 3 years to 5 years. International scholars currently working at KU may extend their programs to 5 years with departmental support. More information is available from the Office of International Programs.
