Institute Offers Life Science Funding Opportunity

The Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute (KCALSI), the coordinating body for the Kansas City region’s life science research initiatives, recently released a request for proposals (RFP) for the Research Development Grant Program. Proposals are invited for collaborative research development grants in oncology, comparative medicine, cardiovascular disease, neuroscience and technology applied to biological problems. Crosscutting enabling technologies have also been identified for support, including proteomics, information technology/bioinformatics and imaging.

Interested researchers should submit a signed one-page letter of intent by 5 p.m. July 30 to Dr. Keith Gary, director of program development. Full proposals are due August 27. More information about the program is available on the KCALSI Web site.
