HIPAA and research forum
The Office of Research and Graduate Studies will host an open forum concerning issues facing those who conduct research involving data covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and business associate agreements. KU researchers and administrators engaged in such projects are invited to bring questions and join in a discussion with representatives from the offices of Research Integrity, the Privacy Office, the Human Subjects Committee Lawrence, and Contract Negotiations. The forum will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, in Room 100C of the Multidisciplinary Research Building on the Lawrence West Campus.

New NIH salary limitation
NIH has increased salary limitations on grants, cooperative agreements and contracts.  Effective Jan. 1, 2008, the Executive Level I salary level increased from $186,600 to $191,300.  For additional details on implementation of the salary cap, please see the Web site notice.
