Undergraduate Research Symposium deadline approaching

The deadline for submission to the Undergraduate Research Symposium (URS) is Fri., March 14, 2008.  Students can apply online. If you have any questions regarding the URS, contact Mark Nesbitt-Daly at mdaly@ku.edu, John Augusto at jaugusto@ku.edu or Chris Haufler at vulgare@ku.edu. 

The 11th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium will be held April 12 in the Kansas Union. The URS is an excellent opportunity for students to display their work, practice presenting in a public forum, obtain feedback and synthesize their results for mentors and peers. Students may make either a poster or an oral presentation. After the presentations, students and their mentors are invited to a banquet. 

This year's symposium will be held in concert with the Sigma XI Student Research Day to further highlight the breadth of undergraduate research at KU.  The Undergraduate Research Symposium is sponsored by the University Honors Program, the Office of Research and Graduate Studies and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
